A Most Pleasant Experience

Loved this hotel! Fairly good size hotel with a restaurant. Beautiful and spacious common areas but with the feel of a smaller boutique hotel. Service was terrific, friendly. Staff were always looking to help or answer any questions. Thank you to Marty who checked us in. Our room was lovely with modern, tasteful decor. Only 2 floors, so easy to reach your accommodations or the front desk area. Comfy bed and linens, good lighting throughout, including the bathroom. Located in a nice area where nothing seemed too far. Would definitely stay here again!!

Our favorite in Buffalo

We have stayed at Reikart House twice now and love it there. The whole place is very nice and staff is great. The rooms have plenty of bright light, super comfortable beds and very nice bathrooms. One stay we were upgraded to club level. I'm not sure what the amenities are other than the room was a bit bigger with a different bath layout. We had breakfast there most mornings, and it was great food. The new restaurant next door was not open yet during our last visit, but we are looking forward to going there on our next trip

A Superb Addition to Buffalo's New Vibrancy

Because I'm from Buffalo I return often for family events, especially over the summer. I have experienced the full spectrum of hotels in the area and the Reikart House outshines most, if not all. While I have also highly recommended the Westin downtown, the Reikart House became my new favorite from the moment we walked in the door. (Disclosure: my sister works at the adjoining restaurant Jazzboline which is owned by the same developer of the hotel.) The room is bright and airy, with perfect climate control in the room. The furniture is modern and appropriate. It is sleek without sacrificing comfort at any time. The same goes for the Lobby--we didn't spend much time there but it is striking from the moment you walk in. It being summer, there were plenty of places to sit outside that were comfortable. The hotel does not have a pool but you can walk over to the Hyatt next door (same developer again) for pool privileges. Two visits to the pool were enough: many children were actively enjoying it. The bed was extremely comfortable with comfortable pillows and luxe linens. The shower was outstanding--great water pressure and the water temperature responded immediately to knob adjustments. (Um, showers are very important to me in hotels!) A private toilet and nightlights are more nice touches. There is ample storage space, a safe, and a mini fridge that is designed for their guests' needs which I always appreciate. Service was simply perfect: professional, welcoming, gracious, and intuitive. Jordynn helped us store our bags until the room was ready (within the hour). Paul the butler was helpful with directions and handing out cookies at night. Seriously good chocolate chip cookies that they place on your pillow. Front desk staff greeted you at every turn. There is a large SUV, an Escalade, parked at the front door and I assume you can get rides to local restaurants, etc. The hotel is less than 10 minutes from the airport with a gas station across the street. Heading east on Main St. puts you into a lovely part of town with shops and restaurants. The hotel abuts the I-290, a highway that connects to all parts of Western New York. This is a wonderful hotel, with a superb location, a chic sense of itself, and world-class service. Worth every cent of its completely reasonable room rates

Best hotel in Buffalo

I have stayed at hotels in cities all over and have stayed at several hotels in Buffalo. Normally I would consider Buffalo a hotel wasteland. Nothing but cheap low-end chains, many of which are not very up-to-date. Reikart is the exception. It is a really lovely hotel. Our room was spacious, well-lit and extremely clean. No gross carpeting. The bathroom, almost always a point of contention for me, was quite nice. Very well-lit and again, very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. We called ten minutes before arriving and asked that if the sofa bed could be made up when we got there. We checked in quickly and went to our room and the sofa was made up and ready with a sock monkey to keep it warm! The location is excellent as well. We will definitely stay here whenever we come back to Buffal
