How To Treat Yourself AND Your Valentine To Luxury
It's February. A month that's supposed to be a time for love but usually it's just a time of headache (or heartache). How do you spend time focusing on each other when so much pressure is placed to create that "magical moment"? Have no fear, this year the Reikart House is here to help.
Focus. Really focus on your partner. Don't just spend time with them while you're actually thinking about work, or your blog, or errands that can wait until later. Truly pay attention to your person. Oh and give technology a pause! Inc.com even came up with 6 apps to stop your smartphone addiction, if you really find unplugging a challenge.
Plan ahead. Unfortunately, a very unsexy part of this holiday is how far in advance you need to plan. Coordinating schedules and making reservations can sometimes feel like you're running a space station mission control. But when you plan ahead you ensure that you and your partner are on the same page and ensure the evening of Valentines can be spent staring lovingly into each other's eyes…or pasta dishes.
Pamper yourself. That's right we said it! #Treatyoself! Just because Valentine's Day is a time for couples doesn't mean you don't deserve some self-love too. Even if it just means taking an extra long shower before heading out with your date for the night, that extra time on yourself will shine through and that positive energy will be contagious. If you don't have time for a self-spa night, visit the ladies of Lace & Day and pick up something to make you look and feel fabulous!
Don't be afraid to branch out. It's easy to lose count of the number of spa gift cards we receive. It's not easy to forget a memorable night in a luxury yet whimsical hotel. Be Our Valentine and receive luxury accommodations, 3-course dinner for two, silk rose petal turn-down service, and chocolate dipped strawberries (a special package available until February 16th).
Despite the trends that come and go, the point is to spend time with the person you care about. Still want help? Plan your romantic getaway in Western New York by contacting our event planners at 716-839-2200.
